-The Nominating Committee's slate of Board candidates was accepted by acclamation: Cal Shuster, Raoul Barker and Linda Kepler. Shuster and Barker were re-elected and Kepler took the place of "retiring" member Doris Green.
-In a meeting of the Board after the general meeting, Shuster and Barker were re-elected as President and Treasurer, respectively, Bill Brey was re-elected as Vice President and Nancy McAleer was elected Secretary.
-Subcommittee Chairs reported on their areas of responsibility. Greens Chair Stan Burton noted the overall excellent condition of the course, the improvements that have been made and projects still remaining. He said new handicap flags are on order and those who need them must make application to the Greens Committee via the Club's General Manager. He made a pitch for members to solicit others to join or re-join the Club. Other reports were positive, noting few problems, with the exception of needed repairs to swimming pool heaters and a major new state requirement: an "equalization tank" must be installed for the pool.
-Owner Bob Dello Russo commented briefly about the impact of rough economic times on golf course and then fielded questions from members in the audience. Issues included non-member use of the pool and tennis courts (one member suggested Realtors may be including them as "community amenities" in listings for homes, not noting the membership requirement); Club actions to recruit new members; use of the Club's Chamber of Commerce membership to promote use of the Club; use of e-mails to keep members abreast of what's happening at the Club; and offering of more "special events" at the Club. Dello Russo was positive about member input and support.
