The meeting was called to order at 3:10 P.M.
Those present were Bill Brey, Bob Birch, Tom Donovan, Doris Green, Nancy McAleer, Cal Shuster, Patti Doherty, and Dennis West.
The secretary’s report was accepted as presented.
The treasurer’s report has not changed and is $2,127.45.
Golf - Tournaments are progressing as scheduled with a few exceptions. Tournament leaders are advised to check the schedule four weeks before your tournament to make sure you are on the pro-shop schedule. We have an agreement with the Club that outings will be scheduled in the afternoon so as not to interfere with member play, unless it is not possible to do so.
Greens - The next Greens Committee meeting is not until next week. A few suggestions were put forth such as the possibility of drinking water back on the course. There is no place to put broken tees thus leaving unsightly tee areas. The range balls are not up to par. Replaced or old hole locations on the greens are sometimes filled too high or too low making them uneven.
Tennis - No complaints have been heard. There is still play by non-paying people especially in the late evening.
Pool - The pool was down for several days because a motor burned out. Several small problems are being addressed. Again there are many cases of outsiders using the pool.
House Maintenance - A few lights are burned out in the dining room. We have had a complaint that the windows and some areas of the Club need cleaning.
House Food - Nothing but praise for the food and its presentation. Working with Susan and Dane has been a pleasant experience.
Old Business - Nothing on the agenda.
New Business - Having an AED in the Clubhouse would be a plus. We will check with the City to see if it is a requirement.
The Sunrise Futures Tour was played here and it was suggested that this could be good publicity for the club. Many members who would have watched did not know of the tournament.
It is reported that Mr. Hofstetter is no longer part of Club management. We have lost over 35 members; most felt that nonmember prices have made it a better choice to play as a nonmember or that our member dues are too high compared to similar clubs. Although not well advertised, the Club recently reduced the trail fee charge.
The next meeting date will be Friday, September 5 at 3 P.M.
-Doris Green, Secretary
